Sabancı University, founded in 1996 by the Sabancı Foundation, was designed to meet the global demand for qualified professionals equipped with the skills to thrive in an evolving world. In response to the growing need for skilled professionals in a rapidly changing world, Sabancı University was established in 1996 by the Sabancı Foundation as part of the Sabancı Group’s vision for a "world university." With its roots in a collaborative conference involving 50 academics from 22 countries, students, and industry experts, the university was uniquely designed rather than modeled after existing institutions. Since its first academic year in 1999-2000, Sabancı University has set an example for many institutions, offering world-class education with a focus on innovation and global readiness.
The university boasts a sprawling 1,344,555 m² campus, with 193,395 m² of covered area, providing ample space for academic, social, and recreational activities. International students have access to top-tier facilities, including a Technopark spanning 3,199 m² and a cutting-edge Digital Campus of 2,648 m².
